Energetic Ghanaian midfielder Alhassan Wakaso played full throttle but his side conceded a late goal to draw 1-1 with Sporting Braga in the Portuguese League.

The 24-year-old Ghana international has been linked with a move from Rio Ave but put in an incredible shift in the top liner of the Portuguese League on Monday night.

Pedro Moreira opened the scoring for Rio Ave on the 40th minute and there were chances to double the lead.

But wastefulness on the part of Rio Ave meant Serbia international Nikola Stojiljkovic struck late to pick a point for the hugely underwhelming Sporting Braga.

Alhassan will be hoping that his glittering performance on the day will be enough to fasten his exit from the club this summer.
